This course provides an introductory overview of project initiation, emphasising the significance of the initiation phase in the project life cycle. It covers the key components of project charters and guides participants in developing a project charter for successful project initiation. This course also includes completing a stakeholder analysis and utilising RACI charts to define and communicate team member responsibilities. Additionally, you will evaluate various project management tools to identify the best fit for their project needs, equipping them with the foundational knowledge needed to start a project successfully.

Project Planning: Putting It All Together

This course provides an introductory overview of project planning, detailing the key components of the planning phase and their significance in achieving project success. It covers tools and best practices for building a comprehensive project plan and risk management plan. You will also learn how to estimate, track, and maintain a project budget effectively. Additionally, the course includes drafting a communication plan and managing it throughout the project, equipping you with the essential skills needed to bring all aspects of project planning together.

Project Execution: Running the Project

This module provides an introductory overview of project execution, focusing on the key quality management concepts of quality standards, quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control. It demonstrates how to prioritise and analyse data effectively, as well as how to communicate a project’s data-informed story. The course also discusses the stages of team development and offers insights into managing team dynamics. Additionally, you will learn about the steps involved in the project closing process and how to create comprehensive project closing documentation, equipping them with the essential knowledge to run a successful project.

Agile Project Management

This course provides an introductory overview of Agile project management, explaining its core approach and philosophy, including key values and principles. It discusses the pillars of Scrum and how they reinforce Scrum values within a team. The course also describes the five essential Scrum events, providing guidance on how to set up each event for a Scrum team. Additionally, you will learn how to coach an Agile team and support them in overcoming challenges, equipping them with the foundational knowledge needed to effectively manage projects using Agile methodologies.

Capstone: Applying Project Management in the Real World

This course provides an introductory overview of applying project management principles in real-world scenarios through a capstone project. You will complete a project charter, including key elements such as a project summary, SMART goals, scope, benefits, and costs. The course guides you in examining project documentation and conducting research to identify and organise tasks and milestones in a project plan. It also covers determining and evaluating quality standards to ensure the project meets the required level of quality. Additionally, you will develop effective stakeholder reports by applying storytelling strategies to effectively communicate project data.
